Good morning, Team
200 calories isn’t 200 calories.
Not when you’re running. Or in general.
Two runners can take in the same energy before a run and have completely different experiences.
One feels sharp. Locked in. Everything flows.
The other feels flat. Heavy. Like they’re forcing it from the first mile.
Same calories. Different outcome.
Because your body doesn’t just read numbers.
It responds to quality.
Carbs can fuel you, or spike and drop you. Fats can support you, or slow everything down. Protein can help recovery, or just sit there, doing very little.
And then there’s the part most people overlook: Micronutrients.
The small things that don’t show up as calories, but literally control how everything works.
Energy production. Muscle function. Focus.
Without them, you can have the calories and still feel off.
I used to think if I’d eaten enough, that was it handled.
But the more I trained, the more obvious it became obvious that some inputs move you forward and some just fill the gap.
That’s a big part of why I built Prerun the way I did.
Not just to give you energy, but to give you something your body can actually use.
Clean, quality ingredients. No cheap stimulants. No unnecessary fillers.
