Good morning, Team
Saturday, I had one of the best runs I have had in a very long time.
It wasn't a long run, it wasn't particularly fast - but by the same token, I just didn't find it remotely challenging.
It was about 11km and there was some decent elevation to it.
The whole experience really helped with my current mindset.
In 2026, I have made big efforts to increase my mileage. Each week I am looking to lay down 40-50km which is quite significant for me.
I know some of you may do less, and I know some of you may do more.
I think I can be forgiven for feeling like I wasn't making any improvement, or making any running "gains".
But, following that run on Saturday, I just feel different. Almost like the whole thing has clicked.
My body has been adapting, slowly but consistently, and I have been quietly rewarded for it.
I haven't drafted an elaborate plan to get me through 2026, and zero overthinking has gone in to it.
Just a simple increase in output, predominantly easy runs.
I wanted to share that because some of you may be mid-journey and frustrated having not had the break through.
Trust me, keep running, it will come.
Yes, in answer to your thinking ... I do use Prerun for all of my runs, and it has helped me tremendously this year. And, I will continue to use it as my pre-run routine.
